It’s been quite a while since my last communication, almost 6 months to be exact.

So what happened you ask?  Well it’s a long story but the short answer is the business that was already in the space was trying to relocate and wasn’t having sucess due to a variety of factors (If you want the long verson ask me in the store some day). So rather than continue being in limbo we decided to start looking at other options.  That’s when we stumbled across a jewel of a building on Broad Street that met all of our needs and then some.

 

While we were excited to be part of Scott’s Addition’s transformation, we are confident once you see our new space you will understand why we made the choice we did.  The building is somewhat unique, it was built in the late 70’s (and looks the part in a cool modern way).  It was built as a furniture store and as far as we know that is all it has ever been.  Most recently it was home to CORT Furniture Rental.  It features lots of open space, high ceilings, a great mezzanine and loads and loads of natural light. Oh and did I mention it also has lot and lots of great parking right by the front door!!!

 

I could go on about the space and our plans but honestly I’d rather you just come see it for yourself as seeing is believing.  So when can you do that you ask???

 

We are currently planning to be open on Broad Street by Wednesday Oct. 5th.  Our last day on Robinson Street will be Saturday Oct 1st and our last day at the Outlet (yes we are moving the outlet to West Broad too) will be sometime in mid to late October depending on how much inventory we have left there.

Moving the Outlet was one of the toughest decision I’ve had to make.  Ironically this store began over 3 years ago as a temporary projecty but quickly became a customer favorite.   However after assessing how much space we are going to have in our new location, we are excited to relocate the Outlet and it’s staff and expand its offerings there.  So while I know many of our Chesterfield customers won’t be thrilled with the prospect of driving to Broad Street, I can assure you it will be worth the trip.   In the meantime we want to sell as much of our existing inventory as we can so we don’t have to move it.  For the month of September all in-stock fabric is on sale for at least 10% off our already marked down prices, plus if you buy the entire bolt or remnant we are upping it to 25% off!!  Shop now while the selection is at it’s best.

 

Richmond & Charlottesville Stores

To lighten the load of fabric we have to move we are going to offer 10% off all in-stock fabric (sorry no orders).  We will also be offering 10% off all new custom furniture orders for the entire month of September.
