This next home tour is quite a treat. It has been on my radar for several months, until the homeowner Carolyn felt properly prepared after recently hosting her mother’s 90th birthday party. After a scenic drive out to Orange County, VA, Carolyn welcomed me in with a hug and witty banter about the weather, instantly making me feel welcome. Upon touring her home, I can see why it has been on the radar… She is quite a U-Fabulous customer with many fabric treatments found in every room of her stunning home.

Hosting a dinner party in this regal dining room would be quite a feast. Delectable details are found in the beautifully polished silver tea set, rich salmon walls and classic wood furniture.

The sunny breakfast room and warm living room continue the traditional theme with refined pieces and elegant rugs.

The Master bedroom pulls from the same color pallet as the rest of the first floor, flowing together into a warm and inviting retreat.

The library found to the west of the master, is the final space on this first floor. The skirted plaid chairs are classic and comfortable. The custom cornice with pagoda print fabric finishes the space.

Upstairs, Carolyn mentions this is the bedroom fit for a princess (her granddaughter) I would have to agree. The peaceful pink and pops of pattern are updated and refined at the same time.

A second guest room is the classic hues that Carolyn is attracted to, with rich reds and golds and hints of chinoiserie motif throughout.

The final bedroom is a nautical resting space for Carolyn’s twin grand babies. Complete with an updated blue ikat and white wicker furniture.

The outdoor pool house is much more contemporary with a coral and aqua print fabric, and bright coral walls and cabinets. The space still remains true to Carolyn’s classic aesthetic with a playful twist making it perfect for lounging poolside.

The final vignette of our tour reflects Carolyn’s outdoor style. Beautiful urn’s, a gorgeous stone patio, outdoor fireplace and more make this space just as inviting as inside.
Carolyn, We could spend all day imagining being invited to a lovely party at your home, thank you so much for allowing us the pleasure to visually tour and be inspired.
