Today marks a pretty big day for us at U-Fab. It has just become official that U-Fab was voted the #1 Fabric store in Richmond, beating out the more established and perennial favorite Williams & Sherrill (I have no facts to back this up but I think they have won this category every year). We also won Best Upholstery Shop for the third consecutive year and placed 3rd in Best Window Treatments (which is pretty awesome since we just started this program 9 months ago).

It is very humbling to have received this recognition and even sweeter as it was voted on by you our customers and friends. In just 4 short years we have built a successful business by constantly challenging the status quo and always striving to be better and more competitive. However I’m going to let you all in on the real secret sauce to our success, it is YOU our customers. Not only do we have the most creative and fun customers, but you are also the best marketing machine that money can’t buy (and if you can, we sure as heck can’t afford it). Everyday we not only see many familiar faces in our stores but we see lots of new ones and I’m not kidding that almost everyone says pretty much the same thing. “My girlfriend/neighbor/mom/sister/co-worker etc. told me about U-Fab and said that I had to come here first if I was looking for fabric”, it is the one thing that we will never get sick of hearing as it’s always makes us feel great and solidifies that people really get and appreciate what we are doing as a company.

So in closing from all of us here at U-Fab we want to throw out a big THANK YOU! to all of you not just for voting for us, but for being loyal customers and even better brand ambassadors of U-Fab! You all are the best and make our jobs fun and rewarding every day. We will be a planning an in-store event soon to celebrate and thank all of you for making this happen so keep your eyes peeled.
