When Fetch A Cure asked us if we’d like to donate anything towards their 6th Annual Pets on Parade Benefit and Auction, we knew we had something special to create. Why not reupholster a chair and matching dogbed? And that we did.

I popped on craigslist and found this gorgeous tufted chair with caning detail and purchased it on the spot. Funny enough the person we purchased it from was a U-Fab customer who had our custom drapes hanging in her dining room. We contacted a local artist, Karen Guard of darling octopus, who has a monthly feature in R-Home magazine, and is a master of painted furniture. She donated her skills into the revamping of the chair and did a pretty bang up job!

We asked our seamstress, Karin Newton, to work on a dogbed, and never imagined she would construct something so magnificent from scratch.

This large tufted matching dogbed, has a fuzzy fabric topper, and flip that over and it can double as an ottoman or chic coffee table.

The fabric cleans easily and is dog friendly, but the removable cushion makes this dogbed even more practical.

These items (along with many more) will be for auction at the Pets on Parade Benefit and Auction tonight! We will be in attendance with our main dog Fab-io as well. We hope to see you there!
