One of my dreams as the marketing director/owner’s wife for our little fabric shop, was to one day organically be mentioned in a major publication, and today my dream came true. The August issue of Southern Living magazine, has a write up for Best Fan District Boutiques and right there in the number one spot, U-Fab. While we do so much more than those 40 tiny words are able to portray, we are honored and humbled to be considered a destination for visitors of the Fan. After all, there are so many independent and beautiful shops in the historic streets of this fine neighborhood we are happy to call home.
Many congratulations to our fellow Southern Living comrades including,
Halcyon Vintage (Vintage clothing & accessories),
Deep Groove Records (Buy & Sell Albums, in-store performances),
Hill Gallery & Studio (Contemporary Works from Virginia Artists),
Na Nin (Supports Regional Makers & Features Wonderful Aromas),
Yesterday Hero’s Vintage (Primarily Menswear Shop once visited by Bruce Springsteen),
Garnett’s Cafe (Elby Award Winning Sandwich Shop),
The Cask Cafe (Think “coffee” shop – but sub the word “coffee” for craft beer, bonus! it’s a couple doors down from us).
Also a round of applause to the very Fabulous Charlottesville Native Bunny Williams on her amazing Southern Living Idea House, pages of glorious design and talent right in our own back yard.
