Kendall and I photographed this home tour together. After months of working on all of the custom details to complete this serene space with the ever charming, Peggy, Kendall wanted to see how the design came together. When we arrived, Kendall declared “By the way, this is my DREAM COTTAGE.” I could instantly tell by the adorable turquoise front door that she was right. Peggy’s charming cottage has been decorated in the sweetest way, sophisticate and traditional, yet fun and inviting. It is a small space that works and every nook has a purpose or a space saving solution.
Peggy’s living spaces feature a cool blue and white palate. A few neutral browns and creams blend together flawlessly.
The main floors windows were framed by custom draperies in our “CELE-Dove” fabric.
The unique window hardware we installed for Peggy is ceiling mounted. Ceiling mounted hardware is a creative solution for a tight window that has no space for mounting brackets, or for a break from the traditional wall mounted brackets.
The comfortable dining room was compact yet spacious, the glass topped table was a smart choice for making the space feel open and airy.
In the kitchen, an adorable little scalloped valance frames the window with the same striped fabric as the draperies.
In the guest room, Peggy’s creativity shines, two separate twin beds (headboards, bedskirts and all) combine for a couple with a light weight mattress topper, or can be easily separated for individual guests. This is a trick I will most certainly use for my own guest room!
Peggy had these euro shams and accent pillow custom made along with reupholstering her darling twin head boards.
Peggy’s master bedroom boasts an oversized custom bolster pillow and matching relaxed roman shades. The new custom com chair upholstered in a moorish tile pairs well with the white moroccan pouf.
Peggy’s half bath is small yet mighty on style! Blue and grey striped wallpaper mimics the living room draperies and the overlapping circled scalloped valance is seam matched perfectly.
Thank you so much to Peggy for supporting U-Fab and for the opportunity to photograph this amazing space.
