The 2015 Charlottesville Design House is now complete and we are thrilled to share all the details that went into the room that Will and Kendall designed on behalf of U-Fab.
This room was inspired by the house. Beautiful views, incredible wood beams with a classic French flair. You can see the styling in every room of the home. The room should feel collected and not staged.
We have been seeing a trend in the last few years of contemporary colors being used in tradition patterns. We started with a beautiful paisley linen print that has deep teals, soft aquas, rich coral/pink and a happy poppy red. It is definitely a different color palette that is elegant yet fun.
The custom pieces in this room do not stop at the numerous U-Fab pieces, Kathy Pantele, a talented painter and U-Fabulous customer, offered to create something especially for the space. She used inspiration from our color palate and beautiful view to create a pair of mountain pieces flanking the picture window.
You may or may not recognize these antique italian occasional chairs from our 2013 design house. See how we dressed them in that room here.
I barely recognized them myself, they are stunning in the chalk paint Thrill of the Hunt Antiques painted and distressed.
The neutral fabric shown on them in this setting is our “WIND” fabric color way natural.
The vibrant red rug we pulled from our fabulous rug vendor, Surya.
The bed showcases our custom bedding, bedskirt, headboards, and pillows. If you just aren’t finding the right bedding to refresh your space – we can pull together a custom look just for you.
The diamond embroidered fabric is called “NELL” color way spice, brings a large scale to the bed for focus, then we added some smaller scales and solids such as the “Dapp” fabric seen on the bolster.

The sheets are outfitted by the always luxurious Yves Delorme. The red and blue textured banding on the custom duvet is found here.
The custom headboard features a large nailhead detail along the side. The saturated teal fabric can be found here.
Adding a full length bolster pillow to your bed can bring the drama you want, we used our popular “Dapp” fabric.
Beautiful empty frames and small mirrors of golden and wood tones create a focal wall in which the bed is “framed.”
Trying to photograph the soft blue paint color was a bit challenging it is pretty close to accurate in this photo where the beamed ceilings meet the wall. The paint color is Sherwin Williams Window Pane SW6210.
It is a little warmer/greener in this shot, but I was trying to capture the beautiful crackled glass capped hardware we offer.
I think it’s time for a bathroom break.
The beautiful heron painting above the tub is another original created by Kathy Pantele.
The towels are from our friends at Yves Delorme.
The glass boxes (along with many other accessories in the space) come from Charlottesville’s premier spot for antiques and accessories, Patina Antiques. 
We created this custom cornice (in SAMA-Blue) to mount on this unusual setting. The window molding touches the adjoining wall leaving no room for outside mounting.
A cute cube in ARTI color way nile is found under the vanity.
The beautiful milk glass accessories are family heirlooms from Will’s grandmother.
Back in the bedroom you can find a pair of these swivel chairs in the ARTI color way nile fabric we just spotted in the bath.
The mitered red pillow makes a statement in a rich red velvet fabric.
We created these cylinder poufs custom for this room, in OPUL-Cement. 
This oval weathered mirror comes from Shades of Light along with the lighting seen on the bedside tables. 
A couple of pillows in MANC-Peacock. 
The custom throw is made of a neutral bamboo fabric that is as soft as it is beautiful.
