u-fabulous Holiday Home Tour – Will & Dustin’s Nautical Loft

Today’s home tour is a very special one, that of William Chambers, Our Creative director, aka our buyer and the one who makes our stores as fabulous as possible, and Dustin Clapp, our Production & Distribution coordinator who keeps things running in our custom world and makes sure everything is delivered on time and in perfect condition. This lovely couple recently celebrated their first wedding anniversary and reside in a gorgeous loft in the heart of Richmond’s Shockoe Bottom.

WDC-8 — Welcome to the abode of Will and Dustin. Not only do they have a beautiful home all season’s of the year, but the holiday season is one of extra beauty as Will works his magic with ribbons and shine, like nobody else. All wreaths, garland and even the Christmas stockings are made by this talented decor mastermind!

WDC-4 — This sweet tree is covered in personal ornaments and even trimmed with some upholstery webbing.

WDC-5 — A bright sitting area parallel to the couch.

WDC-6 — Dustin’s U-Fabulous chair and ottoman steals the show of this corner of the room.

WDC-7 — The Kitchen framed by a ships wheel and Edison lights.

WDC-9 — Isn’t this the sweetest tree you’ve ever seen?

WDC-10 — These original Made in America Anna Lee ornaments are very special inherited pieces collected and passed down from Will’s mother.

WDC-12 — Charlie Harper cardinals are the icon of these two, included on their wedding invitations and cake and forever living on their Christmas Tree.

WDC-11 — Even our C-Ville store manager made this Charlie Harper ornament for their tree.

WDC-13 — A little RVA love in an ornament found at Modern Artifacts.

WDC-14 — Coincidentally Will and Dustin both share the same initial on their last names, so the C makes it to the top of the tree.

WDC-15 — A U-Fabulous shower curtain should steal the show, but in this case would you take a look at that wreath!?

WDC-16 — This amazing cobalt wreath is not only hand made, the driftwood and shells were hand collected from topsail island.

WDC-17 — This darling shelf in the restroom is not only perfectly accessorized, it has a nod to Dustin’s hometown in NC.

WDC-18 — Doesn’t this make you want to have a tropical holiday vacation?

WDC-20 — A lighted lion rests below the literal lion art.

WDC-21 — The guest room is dressed in Radiant Orchid and gold accents.

WDC-19 — A gorgeous handmade purple garland hangs around the window.

WDC-23 — A simple straw pompom makes this vase festive, but my eye is drawn to the beautiful photo of the couple surrounded by friends at their wedding reception.

WDC-24 — Even the stairs are festive with a gorgeous red wreath, made of course by Will.

WDC-25 — This handmade garland reminds me of a Monument Avenue balcony at Christmas, simply put- beautiful. Everything is collected from leftover gifts and silk remnants.

WDC-38 — Jackson – Will & Dustin’s beloved Jack Russell who is indeed nicer than most people.

WDC-26 — A small tree with a big impact. Trimmed from head to mistletoe.

WDC-27 — This ornament has a special significance as Will and Dustin met in the Outerbanks way back when Will lived there and Dustin was stationed there in the Airforce.

WDC-28 — Their loft is bursting with color and personality.

WDC-29 — Salvador Dalí is a major inspiration to Will and Dustin, found in many pieces of their very personal art. Only bought on special trips or for a specific reason.

WDC-30 — Bright fish pillows complete the loft. Plans for re-upholstery of this couch are on the horizon. I think they know a guy..

WDC-31 — Nautical wasn’t a theme Will & Dustin intentionally designed around, but they noticed afterwards that most of what they are drawn to comes from seaside inspiration. Perhaps where they met is subliminally decorating their space.

WDC-32 — Even the driftwood got a little Christmas bling.

WDC-34 — A simple glass hurricane vase filled with monochrome ornaments is an easy way to bring the Christmas spirit into your bedroom.

WDC-35 — The wood floors on the upper level literally take wood floors to a whole new level, look how amazing they are.

WDC-36 — A two story wall of windows complete this industrial chic loft, which was formally- get this, a window treatment factory.

WDC-37 — Don’t you love that industrial chic living room full of U-Fabulous pieces?

WDC-3 — Jackson says “who needs mistletoe!?”

Stay true to your roots… As portrayed in the bits and pieces of NC beach that accent Dustin and Will’s loft without making it kitschy coastal! Beautifully done! Comfortable with charm and elegance. A perfect balance!
