As you walk into the front door of this historic Ginter Park home you might be sensing a bit of deja vu. “Haven’t I already seen this?” is something you maybe asking yourself.

You are correct. The reason this seems so familiar is because this beautiful home was the spectacular 2016 Richmond Symphony Designer House, Pineapple Acre. Viola Baskerville is the lucky homeowner to Pineapple Acre and it was a pleasure working with her a second time around. When the door closed for its final visit, on the 2016 RSOL Designer House, Viola was left with designer touches in every room. Wallpaper here, custom draperies there. But the house needed to become a home again.

After the Baskervilles moved back in, we started by re-upholstering her parson style dining chairs. She wanted fun and color. She choose a beautiful woven fabric with a charcoal base that frames a gorgeous peacock. This fabric was made for a tall back chair. See those feathers cascading down. The side chairs just pop under the dark wood in a cozy coral chenille.
Moving to the living room, the Baskervilles wanted a big cozy sectional that didn’t fill the room but fit the space. And their lifestyle. Choosing our Signature Sectional, one of our most customizable sectionals, the curved piece fits perfectly. The neutral gray fabric is durable and has such texture and depth.
She and her husband wanted the life of the artwork, hanging above the fireplace, to come down on her sofa. So she choose colorful and abstract fabrics. Grounded with a solid deep turquoise velvet. This picture perfect sectional just begs to be curled up in.

We also brought the abstract fabric onto an accent chair that can easily move around the home for extra seating.
Finally, the striped wing chair makes its debut in the guest room. This stripe coordinated perfectly with the existing wallpaper and drapes.
Seeing this home transform a second time was an honor and this time it was personal.
