The next home had a designers perspective, from a non-designer. I couldn’t believe that Fran is not a professional interior designer by trade, as her gorgeous home was decorated in what I would describe as Hollywood Regency meets French Countryside. Fran, our customer, was a breath of fresh air, as was her beautiful home. I instantly knew I had to photograph every space, regardless of if it had our fabric. “How’s this for fabulous?” her husband teased of his office that was full of recording and editing equipment. When I told her my husband’s office was just as messy and full of fabric books from floor to ceiling, Fran gave U-Fab the kindest compliment. She told me that she used to live in Los Angeles and would shop at the garment district weekly. She would spend hours perusing and very much enjoyed the many stores this bustling fabric row had to offer. Well upon moving to Charlottesville and finding U-Fab, Fran says the very first time she visited our store, she turned to her husband and said “They have better fabric than LA!” Her husband raised his hand and shook his head in agreement, and from there a romance was born.
To the left of the entry is this AMAZING dining room. This wallpaper has me itching to add some pattern to my walls pronto, and the serene blue and metallic color palate is a dream!
If you love this room and want to mimic it, please see our inspirational get the look fabrics here.
Just look at that wallpaper! The large translucent leafs set on a silver backdrop pair perfectly with the closeout reef fabric she found for her dining chairs.
The table and light wood flooring play off the silver in the wallpaper.
And her glass sideboard is perfectly accessorized while providing function during a gathering.
A small arm chair brightens up the corner and adds some vibrancy to the space.
The ufabulous custom window seat has fabulous pillows in shades of navy, mist and white.
Around the corner is a gorgeous white kitchen, with marble countertops and upper glass cabinets with lighting – a perfect place to display her favorite kitchenware.
Pretty little details.
Beyond the kitchen is this vibrant living room, pulling in the blues from the dining room with a rich pink ottoman!
This loud ottoman is upholstered in our “BELL” fabric, a beautiful cut velvet with hot pink raised leafs on a grey background.
Happy milk comes from happy cows, who live in fabulous houses.
The master of this bedroom is Fran’s fluffy Kitty, with a serene color palate, I can see why you would cuddle up here.
The cool grey bedding is perfectly complimented with the rich wood tones found in the intricate night stand and framed bird print above the bed.
Her ufabulous custom striped roman shades look flawless.
An antique mirror vintage clutch and metallic artichoke tea light holders give the space a gorgeous patina.
Mixing textures on the pillows is a must!
Upstairs a bohemian guest bedroom boosts shades of red, paired with custom “SAMO” draperies.
I’ve never seen red as an accent with this fabric, and now, I absolutely love it!
Finding the perfect art to pair with your draperies is sometimes a challenge, but Fran found a piece that looks like it was made for this space.
The final room of our tour is a gorgeous bedroom with our “Bliss” fabric on the drapes. This may be my favorite shot of draperies I’ve ever taken. They look absolutely stunning in this space.
The gold in the draperies perfectly compliment Fran’s beautiful accessorizing. This table is so sweet!
I love this round mosaic mirrored mirror and how the light dances off of the tiny mirrored pieces.
This french provincial chair with beautiful gold leaf accents fits ever so perfectly into the space.
Now, do you see why I am shocked that Fran is not doing this job professionally? She is an absolute natural! Thank you so much for welcoming us into your beautiful home, Fran! You have left us inspired by your beautiful taste and styling.
