Katie Fulton

Katie Fulton has been surrounded by beautiful fabrics, colors, and patterns from a young age, growing up in her mom’s quilt shop in Fredericksburg, VA. After graduating from VCU with a BFA in Interior Design, she moved to New York to work as a high-end residential interior designer and project manager for various architecture and interior design firms. She gained knowledge and mentorship in color and spatial recognition at Sara Bengur Interiors, focused on kids rooms at Chango & Co., and worked on high-end residential projects at Capponi Studio and Hamilton Design Associates.

Katie loves working with different colors and patterns and enjoys finding ways to incorporate multiple styles, textures, and colors through layering. She has a special talent for designing kids' rooms and playrooms, utilizing wallpapers and accessories to encourage creativity and curiosity. She also enjoys projects where she can give an existing space a new life, adding personality to the room and making it more personalized and custom.

Katie moved back to Richmond during the Covid pandemic to be closer to her nephew and found u-fab as a great place to learn about the Richmond design industry and styles. As a Design Consultant, Katie values listening to her clients' wants and hopes, ensuring they feel confident and comfortable even when trying a new style or color. She hopes to guide her clients towards making choices they feel proud and happy to show off, creating an extension of their personality and comfort.
