What is High Point Market?

High Point Market is the world’s largest furnishings industry trade show, held biannually in High Point, North Carolina. It attracts thousands of exhibitors and buyers from around the globe, showcasing the latest trends and innovations in furniture, accessories, and home decor.

Our Highlights

Innovation

As usual, innovation was at the forefront of this year’s Spring Market, with manufacturers introducing their newest collections of frames, fabrics, features and technologies. Each unveiling inspires us to envision our showroom, allowing us to carefully curate a collection that reflects the latest trends and provides our clients with a diverse range of options to choose from when designing their own homes.

Collaborations

The collaborations between renowned designers and manufacturers were a standout feature of this year's Spring Market. These partnerships bring fresh perspectives and unique designs to well-known brands, making great design even more accessible. One of our favorites was the collaboration between Bunny Williams and Wesley Hall, which showcased Williams' timeless style and Wesley Hall's craftsmanship beautifully. Celerie Kemble's collaboration with Taylor King was another highlight, blending Kemble's whimsical aesthetic with Taylor King's commitment to quality and comfort. Additionally, Bria Hammel's collaboration with CR Laine brought a fresh and charming perspective to CR Laine's classic designs, resulting in pieces that are both delightful and functional.

Meeting Design Icons

One of the most memorable moments from this year's market was hearing directly from design icons like Bunny Williams, whose passion for design and wealth of experience was truly inspiring. In a short speech introducing her new collection for Wesley Hall, she remarked, "It's what we see, what we're inspired by that makes us better designers." This sentiment resonated deeply with us, reaffirming the importance of seeking inspiration and staying open to new ideas. Williams' collection was a testament to this philosophy, showcasing her impeccable taste and timeless style. Hearing from Bunny was a reminder of the importance of staying connected to the design community and seeking inspiration from those who have made a significant impact in the field.

Trends We Spotted

Layered Neutrals

Layered neutrals were a dominant trend, with showroom designers creating sophisticated and inviting spaces using shades of beige, taupe, and white. Texture played a key role in this trend, with designers mixing materials like linen, leather, and natural wood to add depth and interest.

Soft Shapes

Soft, organic shapes were everywhere at Market, from curved sofas to scalloped edges on tables and accessories. These soft shapes added a sense of elegance and fluidity to furniture and decor, creating spaces that felt inviting and comfortable.

Grandma Chic

The "grandma chic" trend brought a sense of nostalgia and comfort to showrooms throughout Market. Bold floral patterns in striking color palettes, as well as classic plaids and ginghams, were seen on everything from upholstery to wallpaper, adding a sense of warmth and collected-ness to spaces.

Maximalism

Maximalism continued made a bold statement this year, with designers embracing pattern on pattern and layering textures to create rich, inviting spaces that felt curated and intentional. However, we also observed a more subtle take on maximalism, as designers incorporated elaborate touches like fringe trim and tassels on accent pieces to evoke the maximalist trend on a smaller scale.

Greenery

Bringing nature indoors was a recurring theme at Market, with showroom designers incorporating greenery, floral arrangements, and botanical motifs into their spaces. From lush indoor plants to botanical prints on fabrics and wallpapers, this trend added a sense of calm and connection to the outdoors, creating spaces that felt fresh and rejuvenating.
